Journey to KCON

Heyo heyo! Long time no post~ I wanted to write a quick post about the stuff I'm doing to get to KCON and how much everything is costing so far! I also wanted to say that this is almost a dream lineup for me with Wanna One, Seventeen, Twice, Golden Child, and Chungha going so I'm definitely not doing this every year!

Getting Around in Korea - Useful Apps

I still have like 3 more days of blog posts to write from my Japan trip, but here I am writing blog posts for a different set of travel adventures! I went to South Korea in December 19-31, 2017 for a Wanna One concert and I had an amazing time there! I wanted to write a couple of blog posts sharing my experiences there because I had a hard time finding relevant blog posts about traveling there??

So here we go! A set of travel tips and experiences from the point of view of someone who did a very very spontaneous trip to Korea to watch a k-pop concert! This first blog post was meant to be a general finding your way around post, but I ended up writing a lot so I'll save more finding your way around tips for later LOLOL;; Small disclaimer, I did have a friend come with me who speaks Korean and has been to Korea before so that did help when I was going around, but I think these tips should still be useful even if you or anyone in your group can't speak Korean.

Japan Trip Day 3 - Harajuku

So as a continuation from before! We decided to go back to Shinjuku before going to Harajuku bc hello I forgot those placemats! And that was our entrance fee so we gotta go back and get them!! Anyways, we went back to the cafe (and remember how I said yesterday was the last day of the YOI Cafe) yea well they ALREADY CHANGED THE CAFE. I don't know why I didn't take any pics of it, but it's now an anime film festival cafe thing? And since they extended the YOI Cafe dates, they moved everything upstairs. I was surprised because we were literally just there yesterday?!

So I found the YOI Cafe people and asked them in my very very broken Japanese that I lost my placemats here yesterday. I don't know why I said 残しました (I lost) instead of 忘れました (I forgot) because my pronunciation is crap and they couldn't understand me when I said 残しました, but eventually they understood me and asked me what I forgot! LUCKILY I took a picture of it and they immediately brought it out for me when I showed them the pic Q__Q Thank you kind cafe workers you guys are a blessing!!

Japan Trip Day 2 - Shinjuku & YOI Cafe

Part two of day two starts now! So we used our Suica to take the train for the first time! It was so easy I was surprised! We navigated really easily with Google Maps and it helps x1000 that all the signs to take trains and stuff were all in English. We took the Yamanote line down to Shinjuku at around 6pm-ish? It was rush hour at this time but tbh every time we took the train felt like rush hour... It was always so busy e__e

Anyways it started drizzling by the time we wanted to go there so we took a quick stop by the TKRB 3coins store again and bough some umbrellas! They were clear umbrellas but they had the sword boys on them so it was super cute! And a lot durable than I thought they would be?

It was super misty and rainy so these shots are not good but look at this pretty clock tower~

Japan Trip Day 2 - Shopping in Ikebukuro

Day 2 day 2 day 2! AKA The day I blew all my money at Animate and had to wait until withdrawing more money because apparently my ATM withdrawal rates still apply? CRIES. OH BTW you can click the photos to make them bigger! There's a lotta photos here so I didn't wanna make them too big and make my post a million miles long...

Anyways here's a photo of my boy at either Animate or Toranoana I really don't know anymore.

Japan Trip Day 1 - Arriving and Exploring Ikebukuro

It's been a little over a month since I came back from Japan so I figured I should start writing a post before I forget everything! I'm pretty sure I forgot everything I did in Indonesia already oops;;

ANYWAYS hello hello! Just a little intro I guess? This September I decided to go to Indonesia and Japan as my graduation trip! We stayed in Indonesia for 3 weeks and in Japan for 1 week. In retrospect I think I should have stayed longer in Japan, but THAT'S OK IT WAS STILL TONS OF FUN! Also a very very nice break since all I do is work... But without further ado here we gooo~ Japan trip day 1! Or should I say Tokyo since we only left Tokyo once ;__;

Buying our Suica! The best thing we ever bought tbh

Airegret Con pt. 2

Yesterday we celebrated Airegret Con! It's basically an excuse to hang out in Idolish7 cosplay and talk about everything Idolish7 for the tiny community we have here in Texas!
